Simple and Clean

This week on Music Monday we’ll be diving back into the world of:

                              Kingdom Hearts Series

We’ll be exploring the main theme of the Series: Simple and Clean

As always, plug in your headphones(or speakers) and let the music take you in!

And what do we have here? Looks like Sora will be joining us on this adventure!

With that said, let’s get started!

Simple and Clean“(also known as Hikari) is the theme for the first game in the series Kingdom Hearts. In addition, it was also the theme of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of memories for the Gameboy Advance. Another important piece of information is it was written and performed by Hikaru Utada. A Japanese songwriter who’s notably known for this song and “Passion“, another Kingdom Hearts song. However, though “Hikari” and “Simple and Clean” have a simple melody, the song’s translation isn’t the same in translation.

Kingdom Hearts Simple and Clean had several different versions that continue to appear in the Kingdom Hearts Series. The instrumental/orchestrated version shown here.

Even remix versions, an example is “Ray of Hope” from Kingdom Hearts 2.8.

                                                       Ray of Hope

This was the most recent version in the Kingdom Hearts Series. However, whether or not a new version will be made in Kingdom Hearts 3 is undetermined. But we’ll probably see a different version in Kingdom Hearts 3. Seems like it considering we have so many of them haha.

In conclusion,  it’s probably safe to say we’ll get another version. While maybe we’ll get a new trailer with some new music! Furthermore, it’s worth mentioning how different each version sounds and the time that was put to create such a piece.

Thanks for reading! Hope you found/learned a bit more about this iconic theme in the Kingdom Hearts Series. In addition, tune in next week to find out what world we dive into next time on Music Monday! 😀
