                        What’s a Nintendo 3DS?

Well, I’m glad you asked. The 3ds is a portable handheld console by Nintendo that is capable of displaying 3D views without needing glasses. Using launch titles such as Super Mario 3D Land, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 3D, and Kid Icarus: Uprising. Comes with backward compatibility able to play DS games as well. New features like StreetPass and Spotpass which allowed people to play games when they walked past each other. This little thing beat the PlayStation Vita by a landslide and was a complete successor to the DS.

The 3DS made its released in Japan on February 26, 2011, and was released worldwide March 2011. Owners who bought this console for its original price received 10 NES games and 10 GameBoy Advance games which were a complete success on Nintendo’s part. 2 years later, Nintendo released a new console to the family, the Nintendo 2DS released October 12, 2013. This console did all the 3ds could do except a fold option and 3d feature. It was only a year until they would release a new console to the family: the New Nintendo 3DS XL which released in Japan first October 11, 2014. Austrailia and New Zealand November 21, 2014. It wasn’t until February 13, 2015, that the XL version released in North America, excluding the regular sized New Nintendo 3DS. Just when you thought it was over, we’re gonna be getting another addition to the family, the New Nintendo 2DS XL. They might as well, considering the success of all the other ones and games available.

The 3ds has been a complete success and continues to have games developed up to this day. With games like Mario, Zelda, Kid Icarus, etc. It’s no wonder this console has been a fan favorite. With a pretty long time span, not to mention the New 2DS XL is releasing July 28, 2017!

And that’s all for Techy Tuesday! If you’re interested in getting this console, you can head over to Top 10 Wednesday and find what games are good to get for the summer 😀
